UN Sustainable Development Goals
We integrate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors into all our activities, guided by the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, including clean energy and water and sanitation, adopted by UN member states in 2015. Additionally, we are committed to the "Zero Routine Flaring by 2030" initiative introduced by the World Bank.

Action
We Secure Excess Energy
WAIYS places edge data centers at energy production sites to convert excess energy – such as flared gas – into green computing power, helping reduce emissions and improve energy efficiency. Flaring occurs when natural gas released during oil extraction is burned off, wasting energy and producing harmful emissions. By providing the necessary infrastructure and managing operations, WAIYS enables better resource utilization, supports the World Bank’s “Zero Routine Flaring by 2030” initiative, and contributes to a more sustainable energy system.
Contribution to Net-Zero
Did you know that as part of WAIYS’ commitment to reducing environmentally damaging GHG emissions and making a positive contribution on the journey to a net-zero world we have partnered with Trefadder, Norway’s largest player in biological carbon capture? As part of a emission compensation strategy, Trefadder plants trees in our home country of Norway to capture CO2, helping to create a better climate and create local jobs. We are proud to contribute to this important climate initiative.
